Music:
For millennia, music has played an important role in worship. Echoes from the early Christian church remind us, "He who sings prays twice." And, over the centuries, music has played an important role in the Anglican Church tradition in which the American Episcopal Church finds its roots. We invite and welcome you to our music program with the prayer that you will find our tradition, rooted in the millennia, important to you today.
About the All Saints' Parish Choir:

The All Saints' Parish Choir, an all-volunteer organization of more than 20 men and women, sings for the principal liturgy each Sunday from Labor Day through Trinity Sunday. In addition, the Choir sings Evensong several times each year, sings at all major Holy Day liturgies, and sings the Festival of Lessons and Carols on the Sunday before Christmas Day.

The Choir draws women and men from all walks of life who share a love of the Anglican musical tradition. The Choir repertoire is vast and includes not only many of the staples of the English cathedral tradition — Bairstow, Byrd, Gibbons, Howells, Parry, Rutter, Stanford, Stainer, and others — but also an array of 20th and 21st century American choral works as well — Freidell, Hoiby, Lauridsen, Near, Rorem, Sowerby, and Pärt, to name a few. The Choir takes seriously its role as steward of our great Anglican musical heritage, and seeks to marry the best of the past with liturgical works of contemporary composers.

The All Saints' Parish Choir is open to experienced choral singers without audition, following consultation with the choirmaster. The Choir rehearses each Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m., and on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. preceding the 11:00 a.m. celebration of the Eucharist. Interested singers should contact the choirmaster through the parish office (603-924-3202 x 204).

About the All Saints' Organ:

The All Saints' Church organ was built and installed by Austin Organs of Hartford, Connecticut, in 1980. It is an instrument of 30 ranks over three manuals and pedal, built in a quasi-French style. The enclosed Récit and unenclosed Positiv divisions and most of the Pédale division are installed in a chamber on the north side of the Chancel behind the choir stalls. The unenclosed Grand Orgue and additional pedal ranks are installed in the Minstrel's Gallery under the great Rose Window on the west wall of the church. The stop-tab console has the usual assortment of inter- and intra-manual couplets and combination pistons. A set of chimes is playable from the console, while a set of cast-bronze bells in the tower above the crossing is playable from a separate console near the sacristy.
